Hi,

My name is Dave Barry and I’ve had a life long interest in animals and birds.  I’ve kept many different animals as pets over the years, but it was a pair of love birds a couple of years ago which sparked my interest in parrots.  Wanting to learn more I devoured books by the dozen, spoke to other parrot owners and breeders, and scoured the Internet in an attempt to absorb as much as I could about these amazing birds.

What you’ll find on this site, and in my email mini-course is the result of that research in an attempt to share what I have learned and introduce more people to this extremely rewarding hobby.  Whether you’re tentatively thinking about getting your first parrot, or you’re an old hat and wanting to learn more, I hope that you find this matierial interesting and informative.
